Mission Training Site
SV-SOTC is a controlled-access mission training site located approximately 50 miles west of Harry Reid International Airport — supporting military, federal, state, and government units through structured training agreements and dedicated access models.
The site operates within Class G (uncontrolled) airspace with adjacent BLM federal land providing extended operational depth for maneuver, mobility, and scenario-based training. Expanded support is achievable through structured multi-day rotations and coordinated training blocks.
Core Capabilities at a Glance
- Established live-fire training infrastructure — pistol, carbine, precision rifle
- Subterranean infrastructure supporting signal-degraded UAS training & confined space scenarios
- Airborne / MFF and rotary-wing operational support with two surveyed drop zones
- Modular range clusters enabling concurrent training lanes
- Instructor augmentation capability for firearms and tactical application
- Scalable event support through phased and rotational scheduling
Additional instructional specialties available upon request. Curriculum tailored to unit-defined training objectives.

- 600-acre controlled-access site with perimeter security
- Class G (uncontrolled) airspace — flexible UAS and aviation operations
- Adjacent federal BLM land for extended maneuver depth
- Day and night operational capability across all training environments
Built for Where the Mission Is Going
Infrastructure expansion is shaped by direct engagement with supported units — not a static build-out. Long-term partnerships are prioritized over one-time use.
Three-Story Shoot House
Multi-level, multi-room shoot house concept designed to support complex scenario-based training and integrate with existing live-fire environments.
UAS / Counter-UAS
UAS training infrastructure continues to evolve based on supported unit requirements. Adaptable for unit-driven scenario refinement and capability expansion.
On-Site Lodging
On-site lodging planned for future expansion. Regional hospitality partnerships currently in place to support coordinated lodging solutions.
Breaching Capability
Explosive ordnance and breaching capability is under development. Infrastructure adaptable to evolving tactics, techniques, and procedures.

Terrain That Trains Like the Real World
Operational Training Environment
The SV-SOTC terrain environment is a natural force multiplier, not a manicured range complex.
- Isolated training footprint enabling focused, mission-oriented execution
- Natural terrain supporting elevation changes, cover, and maneuver corridors
- Adjacent BLM land providing extended operational depth (subject to coordination)
- Distributed training lanes — simultaneous evolutions without cross-interference
- Integrated movement environments supporting shoot-and-move scenarios
- Subterranean confined spaces with restricted visibility and degraded signals
- Open landing areas for airborne and rotary-wing integration
- Day and night operational capability across all environments

Structured Safety & Medical Planning
Safety, Risk & Medical
Range safety, medical proximity, and risk mitigation are built into site operations — not an afterthought.
Safety Framework
- Structured range safety oversight within a controlled-access environment
- Separation of training lanes minimizing cross-interference
- Coordinated scheduling and range allocation for complex events
- Aviation coordination per applicable military and FAA procedures
Medical Resources
- Units deploy organic medical support per unit SOPs
- Desert View Regional Medical Center — Pahrump, ~10–15 min by vehicle
- UMC Las Vegas — Level I Trauma Center with airlift, ~60 mi / ~1 hr
- Air medical evacuation via regional medevac providers (Las Vegas area)
