Staccato Member Training: Texas License to Carry Class

The Texas License to Carry class fulfills the training requirements set by the Texas Department of Public Safety for an individual to apply for a receive a Texas LTC. Joel Kuchenski brings real world knowledge and understanding to this course through his experience as a police officers and trainer for a large municipal police department in Texas.

 

This course will provide students the legal knowledge and understanding to help prepare them for the realities of carrying a handgun in Texas for self-defense. Students will understand not just what the law says, but how it applies to everyday life.

Training Tempo

 

The classroom training and shooting qualification keeps students engaged with a brisk, manageable pace. Students are encouraged to ask questions and interact with each other to maximize learning while being in a professional and positive learning environment.

Prerequisites

  • Must be able to safely handle and shoot a handgun from 3 yards out to 15 yards

 

Course Goal

To meet Texas DPS requirements while giving studnets more than just a checkbox class. By the end, students will leave with a clear understanding of the law, practical knowledge you can actually use, and the confidence to carry responsibly in the real world.
