In Pat’s two-day course you will receive customized coaching structured to improve your pistol shooting. This course will introduce you to the 2011/1911 platform and cover the advantages and limitations of shooting with red dots.
This course will build on the established basics with dynamic drills to improve accurate target engagement, target transitions, and refine your holster draw technique for speed and accuracy.
You are welcome to train with a quality concealed carry holster that secures the firearm properly and covers the trigger guard. *Strong side or appendix only (no cross-draw or shoulder holsters).
Required Student Provided Items:
- Ballistic Eye Protection
- Hearing Protection
- Properly Functioning Pistol (No Revolvers Please)
- Sturdy Belt
- Holster
- 3 Magazines with magazine carrier for at least one
- 800+ rounds of ammunition for the weekend
- Any item needed for environmental conditions
Classes will begin at 8 am at Staccato Ranch: 1275 Co Rd 233, Florence, TX 76527, USA.
Water will be provided, please bring any snacks or specialty drinks you may need or desire (no alcohol allowed before or during training). A lunch break will be provided and will be announced by the instructor.
Dress for range should be comfortable clothing and weather-specific. If it rains, we will still train so bring rain gear if you require it, sunscreen and hats for hot sunny weather are recommended.
We will discuss range safety and rules, discuss the 1911/2011 platform, disassemble and assemble the 2011, discuss carrying options, dryfire, and do static firearms training.

Pat’s Background:
Active Police Sergeant with 21 years of service with the Long Beach Police Department. He is currently a swat team leader, and range master. Prior to joining the department, he served six years active duty as a Marine infantryman.
Patrick is currently a swat sergeant and team leader, with 16 years of experience as a sniper, entry team member, explosive breacher, and EMT. He has numerous POST certifications, and real-world experience in patrol, swat, and plain clothes operations. He has conducted hundreds of swat missions including dignitary protection, ship boarding/water operations, high-risk warrant service, hostage rescue, and fugitive apprehension.
