In this course, you will receive customized coaching structured to improve your pistol shooting. This course will introduce you to the 2011/1911 platform and cover the advantages and limitations of shooting with red dots.
This course will build on the established basics with dynamic drills to improve accurate target engagement, target transitions, and refine your holster draw technique for speed and accuracy.
Required Student Provided Items:
- Ballistic Eye Protection
- Hearing Protection
- Properly Functioning Pistol (No Revolvers Please)
- Sturdy Belt
- Holster
- 3 Magazines with a magazine carrier for at least one
- 800+ rounds of ammunition for the weekend
- Any item needed for environmental conditions
Classes will begin at 8 am at Staccato Ranch:Â 1275 Co Rd 233, Florence, TX 76527, USA.
Water will be provided, please bring any snacks or specialty drinks you may need or desire. A lunch break will be provided and will be announced by the instructor. Please bring your lunch or plan to go to a nearby restaurant. We have recommendations for restaurants, just reach out.
Dress for range should be comfortable clothing and weather-specific. If it rains, we will still train so bring rain gear if you require it, sunscreen and hats for hot sunny weather are recommended.
We will discuss range safety and rules, discuss the 1911/2011 platform, disassemble and assemble the 2011, discuss carrying options, dryfire, and do static firearms training.
