Join us at the iconic Staccato Ranch in Florence, Texas for a fast-paced, all-steel shooting experience set in a premier training environment. The Action Steel Match is designed to challenge your speed, accuracy, movement, and efficiency in a dynamic and engaging format.
This is a static steel match—but expect plenty of movement and problem-solving throughout the day. Each event features 5–6 unique courses of fire built entirely with steel targets of varying sizes and distances. Stage designs change monthly, ensuring that no two matches are ever the same.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills, push your performance, or simply enjoy ringing steel in a competitive setting, this match delivers.

Match Overview
- 5–6 steel stages
- Scored by Total Time
- Round targets require 1 hit
- Square targets require 2 hits
Centerfire firearms may start from a holster or from a table, as specified in the stage briefing.
.22 caliber firearms and carbines begin from low ready with safety engaged.
Misses add time penalties. Failure to engage targets is scored as the equivalent number of misses required for that target.
What to Bring
- Division-appropriate firearm (pistol, rimfire, or PCC)
- Belt with holster and magazine pouches
- Recommended 4+ magazines
- Approximately 200 rounds of ammunition
- Eye and ear protection
Important Information
Participants should be comfortable drawing from a holster and demonstrate a solid foundation in safe firearms handling. Safety is the priority, and this match is intended for shooters who can confidently manage their firearm while moving through a course of fire.
Cancellations within 72 hours of the event date may be subject to a cancellation fee.
