DESCRIPTION:Members-only course. Register Here – Sign up for Course \nIn Mike’s course you will receive customized coaching structured to improve your pistol shooting. This course will introduce you to the 2011/1911 platform and cover the advantages and limitations of shooting with red dots. \nThis course will build on the established basics with dynamic drills to improve accurate target engagement\, target transitions\, and refine your holster draw technique for speed and accuracy. \nRequired Student Provided Items:\n\nBallistic Eye Protection\nHearing Protection\nProperly Functioning Pistol (No Revolvers Please)\nSturdy Belt\nHolster\n3 Magazines with magazine carrier for at least one\n800+ rounds of ammunition for the weekend\nAny item needed for environmental conditions\n\nClasses will begin at 8 am at Staccato Ranch: 1275 Co Rd 233\, Florence\, TX 76527\, USA. \nWater will be provided\, please bring any snacks or specialty drinks you may need or desire. A lunch break will be provided and will be announced by the instructor. Please bring your lunch or plan to go to a nearby restaurant. We have recommendations for restaurants\, just reach out. \nDress for range should be comfortable clothing and weather-specific. If it rains\, we will still train so bring rain gear if you require it\, sunscreen and hats for hot sunny weather are recommended. \nWe will discuss range safety and rules\, discuss the 1911/2011 platform\, disassemble and assemble the 2011\, discuss carrying options\, dryfire\, and do static firearms training. \nStudent needs to be able to stand for long periods of time. If you require special accommodations or have questions concerning the course\, please email us at training@staccato2011.com \nYour Instructor: \nMike Benbow\nMike Benbow recently retired from the United States Marshals Service as the Tactical Operations Commander for their Special Operations Group (SOG). Mike spent 25 years in the Marshals and 21 years in SOG. During his tenure as SOG Cadre\, Mike was responsible for the shooting and entry programs as well as overseeing Tactical Operations.  He participated in and lead missions across the United States and its territories as well as several overseas deployments to Iraq\, Afghanistan and other counties abroad. \nPrior to his time in the US Marshals\, Mike served as a uniformed Sheriff’s Deputy\, a Narcotics Detective and a United States Border Patrol Agent. \nMike was instrumental in the adoption of the Staccato 2011 by SOG and has 20 years of experience shooting\, carrying\, and instructing with the 1911/2011 platform. Mike’s passion for all shooting disciplines carried throughout his career and continues today.
